Real talk!

You can call it brutal honesty. It may take some adjustment, but wouldn't you rather have a total stranger tell you the truth how it is, than having a friend lie to you continuously?

Authority and Salubrity (repost from August 21, 2015)

How do you separate leadership from friendship? How do you distinguish your friends from your leaders? Who are your friends? Some people can't distinguish their friends from everyone else in the pyramid. Some people forget their friends once they have a position that involves authority. A whole different side of them comes out once they have authority. What is authority? Remember that losing a position can be a down point but there will be other ones in life. But some friends, if you let them go you might let one part of you go_ a major part of you. Remember your friends and your positions. Many of them will not see it like that. Some "friends" need to understand that when you're running a business, it's not a family event. Yes, I have rules and yes, they should be applied to you, my friend. Because you're my friend and I'm familiar with you, does it mean that I have to favor all your friends as well? As my friend, shouldn't you be the main one to understand that my rules apply to my business and that certain things are far beyond intolerable. Tough love? Sure!

Today, a parent lost their child.

Today, a child lost a parent.

Today, a couple got married.

Today, that freshman graduated.

Today, a heart got broken.

Today, a life was saved.

Today, a non valuable glass shattered.

Today, a window closed.

Today, a door opened.

Today, an endless road of events took place.

We have to bear the pain of burying a loved one.

She had to push hard for a new life.

He lost his life fighting and  protecting.

They toasted to the inauguration of a soon-to-be successful business.

You faced adversity and broke down the barriers.

Rise and Shine!

Not everything is supposed to go your way. Having emotions doesn't make you weak, au contraire, it may enhance your personality and being. Will you get hurt? Absolutely. Will you be disappointed by others and even yourself? Definitely. Will you fall? Repeatedly. Does it mean you failed? Marvelously not. Yes, strong people cry. Don't be sorry for your ability to weep. Quick thought

Where you are now does mean that's where you're supposed to unpack and settle. It doesn't mean that you're even supposed to unpack. It definitely doesn't meant that it's not where you should be comfortable with life and yourself either. Where you are now should urge you to analyze who you are, what you want, who you want to be, whom you're meant to be, where you want to be and what you want to do. If you're comfortable, good. If you're not, strive for better; you deserve it. Again, if you're comfortable, could you be established? Nephtalie

Time!

It's the shortest, yet longest four letter word that could exist. It means nothing, yet, it means all to anything and everything. It is an ephemeral eternity. The complication of this simple word is beyond me. Is it simple? Isn't it more complicated than we anticipate? Bear with me! 

We do everything accordingly to time. One has to wait a certain age to do a certain thing, while having absolutely no control over time. One normally waits for the "right" time to divulge some heavy news. Hell, they even do it for the joyful news. 

 Is there truly a "right" time to do and say things? Is it really the "wrong" time to tell or do something? Is time righteous? If everything in your life crumbles upon you simultaneously, is it the "right" time because you're at a certain age and point in your life? Or is it the "wrong" time for those particular events to correlate? There certainly isn't a "right" time to die. It just happens. Consequently, why do we hold such a grudge against time when we spend so much time nurturing it? 

Don't mistake! Time is precious, but does it truly mean everything to us? What about the things we're missing out on because of our perception of time? We most definitely can't hold it back; yet, we wish upon stars and the galaxy that we could turn it back. We also spend a vast amount of it dwelling. 

What's time to you? Is it the years you sit to wait for Mrs. Right? Is it the period you patiently wait for your offspring to come out of the womb? Is it the constant "tic toc" of a clock/watch? Is it truly contained? From when the sun rises and sets? From the digit swaps on your phone? From the hand movement of your watch? From the moment you fall asleep and wake up? Is there more definition to time than we anticipate? Oh, wait! Is time money? If so, do we spent it the same way? Should we spend our time the same way that we spend our money?

Cultural roots

You can take me out of my country 🇭🇹, but you can't take my country 🇭🇹 out of me.

No matter what your culture is, it's innate. Embrace it, explore it, know it. Don't be abashed to show cultural pride. I come from a country where  luxury is nearly none existent and privileges are greatly appreciated because things aren't handed out, but worked for. I'm from a culture where respect means respect and not pretend. I can go endlessly to describe it. It certainly taught me to appreciate everything I have. 

No matter where you're from, don't forget your cultural roots.

Relationship

Don't construct your relationship on the foundations of someone else's. Your relationship is yours and your partner's, using what someone else is doing with their relationship is cloning a relationship that 1) already exists, 2) isn't your own. People lose partners like that. They wanna take what their friends are doing and apply it in their own relationship not taking into account that Lila and Mickey met on different times, have different issues and and different bond. Know your partner, his/her flaws, qualities, likes and dislikes, know your relationship, and most importantly, know yourself.

Impeccable imperfection
